Frequently Asked Questions

How does renting work?
When you rent a card, it is transferred from the lender's vault to your escrow wallet. You can use it in Gods Unchained for the duration of the rental. When the rental period ends, the card is automatically returned to the lender's vault.
What is an escrow wallet?
An escrow wallet is a dedicated wallet created for you when you rent your first card. It is linked to your Gods Unchained account so rented cards appear in your collection. You do not need to manage it directly — transfers in and out are handled automatically.
Why do I need to log out and back in to Gods Unchained after my first rental?
The first time you rent, your escrow wallet is linked to your GU account. Gods Unchained caches your wallet list on login, so you may need to log out and back in for the new wallet (and the rented card) to appear. This only applies to your very first rental.
What does "Start at Reset" mean when renting?
Rental days are measured in UTC days (midnight to midnight). If you rent with "Start Now" late in the UTC day, you pay for a full day but only get the remaining hours. Choosing "Start at Reset" reserves the card immediately but delays the transfer until the next UTC 00:00, so you get the full value of every day you pay for.
Can I return a card early?
Yes. You can return a rented card before the rental period ends from the My Rentals page. However, the full rental fee has already been paid and is not refundable for early returns.
How does lending work?
To lend a card, deposit it from your wallet into the platform vault. Then create a listing with your desired price per day and rental duration range. When someone rents your card, it is transferred to their escrow wallet for the rental period. After the rental ends, the card is returned to the vault and your payout is processed.
When do I get paid as a lender?
Payouts are processed daily after the UTC day resets. The platform fee is deducted and the remainder is sent to your wallet in USDC. You can see your payout history on your Profile page.
Can I withdraw my card while it is being rented?
Not during an active rental. Once the rental ends and the card is returned to the vault, you can withdraw it back to your wallet. If you request a withdrawal while a rental is active, it will be queued and processed automatically after the card is returned.
What qualities of cards can I deposit?
The platform supports specific quality tiers which may change over time. When depositing, only cards matching an enabled quality tier will be accepted. Check the Lending page for currently supported qualities.
What is the wishlist for?
The wishlist lets you signal demand for cards you want to rent but that are not currently available. Lenders can see which cards are most requested and at what price, helping them decide which cards to deposit. Your wishlist offer is not a commitment — it simply indicates what you would be willing to pay.
Are my NFTs safe?
Deposited cards are held in a platform-controlled vault wallet. Transfers are handled on-chain via standard ERC-721 transactions on Immutable zkEVM. The platform never has the ability to sell or trade your cards — only transfer them between the vault and escrow wallets for the purpose of rentals.
What currency does the platform use?
All payments and payouts are in USDC on Immutable zkEVM. You will also need a small amount of IMX in your Passport wallet to cover gas fees for transactions.
